The lodge is furnished in a practical and cozy style, with a bright living room and an open kitchen. Thanks to the many windows, you can enjoy plenty of natural light and a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances such as a gas stovetop, a combination microwave, and a dishwasher. With two bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. 

The lodge has its own bike shed where mountain bikes and electric bikes can be safely stored. From your lodge, you can also easily cycle along the most beautiful routes through Drentsche Aa National Park—ideal for nature lovers and those who enjoy active outings.

There's plenty to do at the park for people of all ages. You can enjoy a swimming pool, a recreational lake, and a variety of sports and recreational activities. There's also a restaurant, which makes your stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

From the park, you can walk straight into the woods, where countless biking and hiking trails begin, taking you past heathlands, streams, and picturesque Drenthe villages such as Schoonloo and Orvelte. You'll also find unique attractions nearby, such as the largest dolmen in the Netherlands and the Dolmen Center. Whether you choose a leisurely walk, an active bike ride, or a day trip in the area, De Huynen lets you experience nature right from your front door.
